Dr. Doug Winter grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas and earned his veterinary degree from Oklahoma State University in 1990. Returning to Little Rock, he owned three AAHA veterinary practices with four other partners for nearly 30 years. He and his wife, Angela, relocated to Greenville in 2023 to be near their grandson, and he worked at our Greenville location before taking his current position in Greer. Their daughter’s family lives in nearby Easley and they have a son who lives in Florida.
His practice interests include soft tissue surgery and internal medicine, but he especially likes getting to know families and their pets. Outside of practice, Dr. Winter and Angela enjoy time with their tuxedo cats, Riley and Charley, spoiling their grandson, visiting historical sites and touring grand Victorian homes of the Gilded Age. They attend First Presbyterian Church in downtown Greenville.
